How the test works
Each question is asked once to Perplexity, with its web search, like a user would. The answer counts as citing you when it names your brand or your domain, or links to a page of your site.
Your site's address is only used to recognize your brand in the answers: the test does not visit your site.
Read one answer as a sample
Answers change from one run to the next. A single run per question is a quick look, not a measure. A Beakon account asks each question several times, on Claude and Perplexity, and follows the trend every week.
Choose good questions
Write the questions a customer would ask before buying, without your brand name: "best accounting software for a freelancer", not "Is Brand good?". A question that names your brand will almost always get your brand in the answer.
Frequently asked questions
Why only Perplexity?
The free test asks Perplexity once per question to stay free. With a Beakon account, the tests also ask Claude, several times per question.
Do you keep my questions?
No. Your site address and your questions are used for the test and are not stored. Only the cost of the call is recorded, without its content.
How many tests can I run?
A few per day and per connection, within a daily budget shared by all visitors. If the limit is reached, come back the next day or create an account.
A Beakon audit also checks your technical SEO and structured data, and tests whether Claude and Perplexity cite you. Free to start.
